Miloš Šoškić
His debut in the green and white jersey was spectacular. When Miloš Šoškić, who came to Slovenia from Serbia at the age of 21, first played for Olimpija, they drew 4-4 with Lokomotiva from Zagreb in the 2nd Yugoslav League! This was the first of a total of 360 matches for the Dragons, which places him third on the list of players with the most appearances. However, the combative, tough, and at times razor-sharp defender, who often wore the captain’s armband, left his mark among the green-and-whites not only as a footballer.
Later, he also became a coach, first leading Olimpija in 1988, when Robert Englaro, who would later play for the Slovenian national team, made his debut under his guidance. And that’s not all. Over the course of three decades of his involvement at Bežigrad, he also served as secretary, technical director of the senior team, and even sports director of Olimpija! He is the only person who has proven himself in so many different roles within the club.
