From a commercial point of view, we have launched our business club, we are talking to new partners, and we have also created a completely new online store, which is designed at the level of the largest European clubs. All of this takes a lot of time, and as a result, the president and I appear less in the media. We are focused on managing the club, which is once again taking big steps forward. We also don’t want the players to feel additional pressure through the media before such an important period that is being created when leading people in the club give interviews in the media.\u201d<\/p>\n
He described his view of the situation in the club with the words: \u201cDespite the challenging period in terms of results, we are financially extremely stable, we have a quality team and a coach who has raised the players’ heads and demands from them the standards and style of play that the fans also want to see. We are constantly planning and working with a view to the long-term future of the club, so I am surprised by media reports that Olimpija is for sale. This is not true at all. These are fake news that do not have much basis. The investments and decisions we make are proof that the president and I are by no means withdrawing, but want to build a long-term story. As an example, I would like to highlight our work in the football school, which is achieving very good results this year. These are a reflection of our professional work and financial investments. I am really looking forward to seeing as many guys as possible in the first team in the coming seasons who grew up in Jama.\u201d<\/p>\n
Regarding his personal role in the club, he said: \u201cI am honored to lead Olimpija. I can say without reservation that I am a fan of the club, my blood is white-green, so every victory is even sweeter, and every defeat is even more painful. Football is full of ups and downs, but it is important to strive for progress, and that is what we are doing at Olimpija. The club is growing and achieving success in Europe as well, which for decades could only be a dream. In recent days, there have been reports in the media that I am leaving Olimpija and moving to another club, which is not true. The club means too much to me to leave it.
