Sporting Director Necat Ayg\u00fcn announces that Federico Bessone is no longer the head coach of NK Olimpija Ljubljana\u2019s first team.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter a thorough analysis of our performances throughout the season, I have come to the conclusion that a change in the coaching staff is necessary if we want to bring Olimpija back to the top of the league table. The club\u2019s goal remains to compete regularly in European competitions in the future as well,\u201d said Sporting Director Necat Ayg\u00fcn.<\/p>\n
Bessone took over the team last September, when he and his coaching staff assumed responsibility for the Dragons\u2019 results until the end of the competitive year. In 29 league and cup matches, he recorded 15 wins, 6 draws and 8 defeats. <\/p>\n
Following the end of the 2025\/26 season, in which the team did not meet the club\u2019s set objectives, and after a comprehensive analysis of the team\u2019s performances, a decision was made to change the head coach. His two assistants are also leaving the bench. <\/p>\n
