The youth team ended Monday’s away game in Novo mesto with a point. The draw keeps the young Dragons in the top five of the table. After 12 games Olimpija has 22 points, and the next opponent of the Green-Whites will be the leading Brinje.

The match in Novo mesto was leed by assistant Antonio Mlinar Delamea in the absence of Boštjan Miklič, who is currently in charge of the first team: ”The first half was below average from our side. We were late in our coverage, we were not calm enough in our passing. The opponent was very narrowly positioned, but we couldn’t take advantage of that. During the break we made other arrangements and soon corrected a few things. We had nice chances to score, but unfortunately the ball didn’t end up in the net. We were a bit lucky, though, because Krka could have scored after a quick counter-attack at the end of the match. In the end, it was 0-0 and we still saw the outlines of the game we wanted to play, so we will make the best out of this kind of match.”

Olimpija will host Brinje at the Svoboda Sports Park on Sunday, 22nd of October, at 3 pm.
