Cadets beat Šenčur by a landslide

The youth, cadet and senior boys of NK Olimpija earned a win and two draws over the weekend. The U15 and U17 teams played against Šenčur, while the youth teams played away at Tabor Sežana.

The youth selection drew in Sežana on a challenging pitch. After falling behind by two goals, which came in stoppage time, the Dragons were brought back into the game by Tim Matanovič (49′) and Aldin Jakupović (70′). The green-and-whites also hit the goalpost twice. Despite the draw, Olimpija remains in first place in the EON Next Gen League, which will continue on Saturday at 1 p.m. with a home match against Ilirija.

Olimpija’s starting eleven consisted of Mauricio, Pirečnik, Ristić, Dvoršak, Vidmar, Uršič, Matanovič, Jakupović, Porić, Kojić and Imeraj.

Kovačević (36′), Petrov (77′), Balon (86′) also entered the game.

Ristić received a yellow card for the Dragons (92′).

U17 Team

The U17 team recorded a brilliant league victory on Saturday. The cadets, led by Matevž Potočnik, defeated their peers from Šenčur by a score of 5-1. In the 2nd minute, Žiga Pečjak gave Zmaja the lead, who was then successful in the 14th minute. In the 36th minute, Martin Talevski scored, followed by Svit Hočevar just before the end of the half. Seadin Tafoski increased the lead to 5-0 in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute, the guests made it 5-1. The young Zmaja will play away to neighboring Ilirija on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The first eleven of the green and white team: Botonjić, Henjak, Šega, Tafoski, Kostić, Pečjak, Hočevar, Lučić, Zver, Talevski, Varmaz Plava.

Dobrnjič (51′), Liao Novak (60′), Pavlič (60′), Šolar (79′), Miklavčič (79′) also entered.

Kostić (8′) and Varmaz Plava (56′) received yellow cards.

Older boys

The U15 team’s duel ended in a draw. In the 11th minute, Olimpija was already two goals behind, and then in the 18th minute, Adis Kustić scored an own goal to reduce the score to 1-2. At the beginning of the second half, the guests from Šenčur scored a third time. A good response from the Dragons followed. Damjan Listić scored in the 58th and 69th minutes to ensure that the green and whites scored a point. The U15 team will play against Ilirija on Saturday at 11 am.

The following players also entered the game: Gazibara (41′), Muslija (41′), Mešanović (58′) and Jugović (63′).

Mramor received a yellow card (50′).
