The Dragons played against the Croatian first division team behind closed doors at the Žak Stadium. Olimpija were led in the friendly match by the youth team coaches Boštjan Miklič and Antonio Mlinar Delamea, who joined the rest of the coaching staff on the day of the match.
The Green and Whites had no national team players (Elšnik, Bristrić, Lasickas, Brest, Ratnik) and no injured players (Doffo, Sualehe, Mijailović, Vidovšek). The minutes were distributed evenly among all the other team members. Juniors Oskar Vidmar and Jaša Jelen also got a chance to play. There were no goals in the first half, but the visitors managed to score three times to take a win.
Gorica’s Žak was represented by former Olimpija defender Dino Štiglec and goalkeeper Ivan Banić, while the Croatian attack was led by former Slovenian international Tim Matavž. Martin Šroler is also one of the well-known faces, who in Slovenian first divison represented Mura and Aluminij.
