In anticipation of Sunday’s home match against Primorje, NK Olimpija director Igor Barišić shared some big news at a media briefing! Raul Florucz has extended his contract until May 2028!
“I have great news for all Olimpija fans. Raul Florucz has signed a new contract with the club, valid until 2028! This shows how seriously we think and look at the future of the club. Raul is one of the best players in the league, so we are all very happy about this. We know that many young footballers, members of the national teams, have extended their contracts. We will continue with this policy in the future. The fans definitely deserve it,” said Barišić in Stožice.
A former member of the Croatian lower leagues, he made his debut for the Dragons in the 2023/24 season, and now 23-year-old Raul has since played 60 games for the green and white team, scoring 21 goals in all competitions – including Europe. He also provided 12 assists.
The offensive footballer says: “The team is doing very well this year and I believe that it can do even better on this path. I want to participate in this myself. I hope that we will be able to enter the spring with determination, which brings a lot of challenges. The first one awaits us on Sunday. Europe is certainly also extremely interesting, especially for all the fans. I believe that they will prove themselves again in the new year and be our main support. The contract certainly confirms the good work, the performances can always be bolder and I will work on ensuring that there are as many beautiful moments together in the green and white as possible!”
