  • Coach’s Thoughts before the Match in Celje

The action in the 1st SNL returns with a clash between the current cup and league champions! The Dragons’ head coach, Federico Bessone, stepped before journalists ahead of the 12th round match of the Prva liga Telemach against NK Celje and praised his players’ work in the recent period: “I am very satisfied with the progress shown by the players since I took over the team. The progress is visible and we have managed to lift the boys mentally as well.”

About the preparation for the evening clash, he said: “We prepared well for a strong opponent, as we had enough time during the international break. The fact is that they are leading the table, but we are also growing. We won two matches and drew when, based on our performance, we deserved more points against Aluminij.”

He summarized his expectations with these words: “We have a difficult match ahead of us, but we must focus on our plan and I believe we will be successful. We must also win individual duels and be better than them. They are a quality team, but so are we. We have studied the details and know how to stop them. We also have excellent players and we must prove that tomorrow and stay focused for all 90 minutes, as an intense match awaits us.”

Olimpija is therefore heading to an away match in Celje after the international break. The next home test against Domžale is scheduled for the green-and-whites on Sunday, October 26, at 5:30 PM. Tickets are already available at pre-sale prices at shop.nkolimpija.si.
