After the win in the opening match of the year, decided by Pedro Lucas, Matevž Vidovšek expressed his satisfaction at returning to the Dragons’ goal. He highlighted the importance of the victory against Mura, the team’s hard work, and the desire to keep collecting points in the second half of the top-flight season.
“It’s nice to be back and start with a strong team performance and a clean sheet. This win means a lot to us, which you could see on the pitch too. We worked hard and we’re happy with an important three points. We need to keep picking them up from match to match, because we know we’re not in an ideal position right now. In the second part of the season we want to climb as high as possible in the table, and we also have a clear goal in the cup,” he added.
“Of course I’m happy to be back, but it wouldn’t be possible without my teammates. They help me, I help them. I want to give as much as I can to everyone—the club and the fans—and my return between the posts couldn’t have been nicer,” concluded Vidovšek, who put on the green-and-white shirt for the first time since May 17, 2025, when he and his teammates confirmed the national championship title.
