Olimpija remained undefeated for the third consecutive Eternal Derby after the match at Stožice ended goalless. One of the key figures in the Dragons’ impenetrable defense was once again center-back Marko Ristić.
On the atmosphere in the dressing room after the match: “First of all, thanks to the fans for their loud support. The derby had a fantastic atmosphere; only a goal was missing to really lift the stadium. I believe we should never be satisfied with a draw and must always strive for a win. That’s why there’s a bit of disappointment in the dressing room.”
“We saw a match between two high-quality teams. Both were tactically well-organized, so at times it seemed like there weren’t many transitions. Nevertheless, we took the initiative in the second half and had a clearer idea of the game than Maribor.”
He outlined the league goals for this season: “At Olimpija, the goal is never just to qualify for European competitions; the goals are higher, and the whole team believes in that.”
