Đorđe Crnomarković is leaving the Dragons’ den

The end of the season marked the end of Đorđe Crnomarković’s career in Ljubljana. The Serbian-born center-back who played two seasons in the Dragons’ den will be going back to Serbia when his contract expires. He played in 62 games for Olimpija, and he scored 4 times.

Đorđe Crnomarković spoke to the club, teammates and fans upon leaving: “I have decided to make the next step. I wanted to be closer to home and spend time with my family. Olimpija offered a contract, but Vojvodina’s offer was more beneficial for me so I decided to leave. At the end of the day, this is my job and I sometimes have to leave my feelings behind. We parted on friendly terms and I’m proud to have been a part of the green-and-whites. The atmosphere in the club was great during last season. The players know that I am their friend and brother for life. I wish that Olimpija’s fans would come in even greater numbers next season since the club deserves it.”
