Olimpija against Mura

The Dragons will host Mura on Sunday at 17:30! League match Round 16 of the Prva liga Telemach will be dedicated to the celebration of 35th Green Dragons anniversary! We kindly ask all fans to be in their seats at least 20 minutes before kick-off for the spectacle.

“We slept through the European meeting, analysed it and then finally discarded it. We are looking forward to the game against Mura with very good feelings, and we definitely want to finish the last test before the national team break in the best possible way. With a win. Especially as the fan group is celebrating its anniversary. So we are looking forward to a good game against Mura,” said Marcel Ratnik, a young defender from Prekmurje.

Slovenian U21 national team player on the progress of the Green-Whites, Denis Pintola’s net has stood still five times in the last six games, he says: “We are progressing from game to game. We are more disciplined in the game. Under the new coach, we have only let up once and we want to continue in this rhythm. Zero behind boosts the confidence of the whole team. For the defence this is very important. On Thursday we locked the door for the fourth time in a row. On the other hand, we created enough chances, we were patient and that rewarded us in the end.”

The Dragons won their first match against Mura in the current season 1:3. On Olimpija’s side are also the overall statistics. Since the return of the Mura to the elite in the 2018/19 season, the Green-Whites have won nine top-flight matches: “We are definitely going into the game with determination! We have enough quality and home support. Winning is our goal. A goal behind would give us an extra boost to be even more confident. We have to work for each other and then the result will come,” said Ratnik.
