Dragons open summer preparations

The Green-Whites started their preparations for the new competition season with today’s testing in Stožice. Monday was dedicated to individual measurements, which were carried out by the fitness coaches both in the morning and in the afternoon. The first joint training session on the green under the new coach will take place tomorrow.

Three football players were absent from the opening assembly. Timi Max Elšnik is representing Slovenia at the EURO 2024 in Germany, while Matevž Vidovšek and Justas Lasickas got a few extra days off due to national team commitments. Other familiar faces from the youth ranks were joined by Žiga Pečjak, Matej Dvoršak, Mateo Aćimović and Dino Kojić. Tihomir Maksimović returns from his loan with Bravo.

The busy schedule will continue until next Wednesday, when the first preparatory match will take place. Victor Sanchez will test his new players in the first leg against Romanian second division side AS FC Buzau (26.6. at 18:00 – ŽAK). Also in Ljubljana, there will be matches against FK Sarajevo (3.7. at 18:00 – Kodeljevo) and FC Slovacko (6.7. at 11:00 – Kodeljevo). The Dragons’ fourth preparatory opponent, and the last one before the opening league match, will be confirmed at a later date.

European ball dance for second round of the UEFA Europa Conference League will take place on the 19. June The league draw will then take place at the end of the month.
