The last international break of this calendar year is coming to an end. The Dragons’ thoughts are now rapidly turning to Sunday’s clash – the second eternal derby this year. The reigning national champions will face an away game at Ljudski vrt on Sunday at 3 PM.
Olimpija and Maribor last met in Stožice on August 31, when Jošt Urbančič and Matevž Dajčar secured the three points. The former scored the winning goal, while the latter saved a penalty kick.
“We used the break for regeneration and good preparation. The friendly match against Istra helped us maintain our competitive rhythm. Fortunately, there are no major injuries, so we’re going into the end of the year at full strength. We know what the eternal derby means. This will be our first challenge after the break. A demanding match awaits us at Ljudski vrt, but we believe in our qualities. If we’re disciplined and aggressive from the first minute, we can turn the result in our favor again. We’ve already managed to do this once this year,” says goalkeeper Dajčar in anticipation of Sunday’s match.
For the fans, a Green Bus will also be organized, providing easy transportation to the eternal derby. Individual tickets for the away sector are on sale at this link.
