NK Olimpija Ljubljana is delighted to announce the appointment of Zoran Zeljković as a new head coach. The 43-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the Dragons, with an option to extend it for an additional season.
Zeljković has successfully managed FC Koper in recent years, with whom he also won the 2021/22 cup championship! Before joining FC Koper, he gained experience at Krka in second divison, and made his first coaching steps at NK Celje, where he worked as an assistant coach. Later on he took over Ilirija for the first time on his own.
Zeljković represented the Dragons as a player in the 2010/11 season, when he wore the green and white jersey in 25 matches. He scored four goals. With seven assists, he was also the best assistant of the competition that year. Overall, he has 218 appearances among the Slovenian elite.
The new head coach and his staff will be introduced at tomorrow morning’s press conference, which you can watch live on the club’s channels.
Zoran, may your return to the Dragon’s Nest be more than just a success!
