On Saturday at 15.00 Dragons will play 24. round of Prva Liga Telemach. They will play with Celje in Stožice. Players are counting on a large support at home to help them to the victory they want. The reigning national champions are seven points away from the top of the standings, and a win on Saturday would significantly help to reduce the gap.

Ahead of the meeting, head coach Zoran Zeljković summarised his thoughts: “I have repeatedly stressed how important this match is. We are all aware of that. We will do everything to keep the victory at home. We will definitely show the right face and courage. I am optimistic, but I know it will be very difficult. There are tough games coming up and now we will see what we are made of. I believe we will prove that we are the right team. It’s definitely easier to go into a game if you are on a winning streak, but derbies are a different story. On Saturday we play the first-placed team, who have also shown consistency so far. I repeat, it will be difficult, but I believe in my boys and in the final victory. At the same time, I have the feeling that a bit more people than usual will come to support us. We all want as much support as possible and a loud cheering from the stands. I hope that will be our advantage.”

Ahead of the leaders’ showdown, Marcel Ratnik is confident of a solid defensive line: “We are only interested in three points against Celje. If we manage to do that, we are much closer to first place. We go into the game full of energy, motivation and momentum. We have shown in recent matches that defence can hold a zero. The whole team is working to make sure we don’t score. It’s a team effort. They always say that defence starts with the attackers and I believe that is true for us too. No matter what happens in the match, I believe that every player will give his maximum. Celje has great individuals, but I think we are better as a whole.”
