  • Bessone believes in another success against Celje

The Dragons’ head coach, Federico Bessone, took time out of his busy schedule to answer questions at yesterday’s press conference. He commented on the current state of the team following victories in both matches of the spring part of the season and revealed why he is looking forward to the clash with Celje in the 21st round of the Prva Liga Telemach with confidence.

“After two consecutive wins, there is a positive energy within the team. We had some difficulties against Mura, as well as against Aluminij, but those are quality teams that did everything to make our job harder. Nevertheless, these two victories show that we are growing and improving on the details we struggled with. This gives us confidence and extra motivation to keep progressing from one training session to the next.”

“We analyzed Celje’s match under their new coach and didn’t notice many changes, which further confirmed that a tough test awaits us on Sunday. Celje also has some changes in their squad and a significant lead in the standings, which can lead to overconfidence. That’s where we see our opportunity. In the last two encounters against Celje, we showed our true face. In the league draw, we were closer to winning, and in the cup, we knocked them out. I believe we can repeat that success in the league as well.”

Tickets for the Olimpija – Celje match are available at vstopnice.nkolimpija.si or in our club shop. The match of the round kicks off on Sunday at 3:00 PM; before the start, don’t forget to visit our fan zone at Stožice’s C platform.
