The first working week of pre-season training is drawing to a close, and from today, Dragons’ coach Mišo Brečko can once again count on the young national team players. Dino Kojić and Marko Ristić received a few extra days off after the end of the season due to national team commitments, and rejoined the team with Friday’s training session.
“We are happy to be back here, as training with teammates is always better than individual sessions. We are in the period of summer preparations, so we have to grit our teeth and work hard despite the high heat. With the new coaching staff, new energy has arrived, and there is also a greater motivation throughout the team. We hope that no injuries will stop us in the coming weeks, that we all stay healthy and perform excellently in the upcoming friendly matches,” said the returning players to the Dragons’ camp.
Matevž Vidovšek and Jošt Urbančič will return to Stožice on Sunday, which will make the squad for the next part of the preparations practically complete. Together with the three summer newcomers Rose, Xande, and Cuni, the green-and-whites are soon facing their initial pre-season challenges. First up is Tuesday’s match against Vllaznia, and Olimpija’s players will conclude the initial 14-day preparatory cycle on Sunday, when FK Čukarički will be their opponent.
