Olimpija’s players face another important test in the PrvaLiga Telemach on Saturday at 3:00 PM, as NK Aluminij come to town. Ahead of the Round 29 clash, centre-back Marko Ristić spoke to the club website, stressing that the team is determined to make amends for last month’s showing.
“Another league match in the fight for Europe is an opportunity to improve our points tally. In March we simply weren’t good enough, and we have to respond before the season finishes. Koper and Maribor aren’t far away, but we need to pick up points and raise our level.”
The Green and Whites have already faced Aluminij three times this season—winning twice away, while the home match ended without a winner: “The visitors will certainly try to spring a surprise, but we want to be more proactive and more decisive, and make sure the win stays at home. We need three points.”
Head coach Fede Bessone will be without two players this time. Dimitar Mitrovski and Jan Gorenc will miss out, as they are suspended after picking up four yellow cards. Both reached the limit in the last match against Mura.
