  • Bor Bokavšek Signs His First Professional Contract

Bor Bokavšek, captain of the cadet selection, has today signed his first long-term professional contract with NK Olimpija Ljubljana. Bor, born in 2010, lifted the trophy as captain of the under-15 national champions last season. This moment was even more special because he is a product of the club’s youth academy. His excellent performances have also earned him a place in the Slovenian U-15 and U-16 national teams.

Bor is characterized by his professional approach and high self-confidence. As a center-back, he is extremely fast and skilled in recognizing defensive situations. He can also boast an excellent right foot.

Upon signing, Bor said: “Honestly, I still can’t believe this is really happening. When I was younger, I dreamed of this moment – and now it’s here! Thank you to the club for their trust, to my family for their support, and to the coaches who have been telling me over the years that ‘talent is not enough, you also need to work hard.’ This moment means a lot to me, but I know it’s just the beginning. It’s necessary to move forward, train without letting up, and enjoy it at the same time! I’m looking forward to new challenges and upcoming victories in green and white!”

Bor, sincere congratulations!
