Thank you, Ljubljana.
Today I say goodbye to the club that gave me the opportunity to become who I am.
I spent unforgettable years in Ljubljana. From youth school, debuting in the senior team, playing on the European stage, to the indescribable feelings when, as captain, I lifted the trophy for the best team in the country a few days ago.
The moment came when I felt that it was time for a new step on my path. Regardless of the fact that in recent years we have written history, won laurels and played in the knockout rounds of European competitions, I am convinced that even better and more successful times lie ahead for the club. Olimpija, the players and the fans are in good hands, so we can all look forward to the bright future of the club.
Unfortunately, it will be without me, but I remain in contact with the players, club employees and fans. I will follow Olimpija every step of the way, because they have given me everything in football.
I am grateful to all the coaches I have worked with, my teammates, the club staff and most of all the fans. You are the heart of this club and without you this story would not be the same.
I leave happy and proud of everything we have achieved together. Olimpija will always be home for me.
Marcel
