Çelhaka eagerly awaits his debut

Estonian striker Alex Matthias Tamm appeared before the media in Stožice at the start of the preparation period, while the other winter newcomer Jurgen Çelhaka, a 24-year-old Albanian midfielder, appeared at the end.

What did he say before Sunday’s home game, which starts at 1 p.m.?: “First impressions are great! Everyone at the club really welcomed me. Everyone did everything they could to help me get used to the new environment as quickly as possible. This made the initial adaptation very easy and I feel great. I have also completed almost all of the preparations with the team. This is the most important thing, so I am really looking forward to the first match and the opening meeting with the fans!”

Çelhaka says about the reasons for coming to Slovenia: “It wasn’t difficult to convince me to come to Ljubljana. Olimpija is fighting for laurels. They are also playing in Europe again. I assessed that this was the right step forward in my career, so the decision was easy. The club is progressing year after year. The project led by the management and the way they wanted me convinced me immediately.”

In the first part of the season, the Albanian footballer also represented the Polish Legia in the conference league: “I’m looking forward to the European matches. I’ve already followed Olimpija in detail in the match against Jagiellonia and saw that they are a very organized team. I definitely want to help and make the team even better, but I will have to show my knowledge on the pitch. I can talk here, but what I show on the pitch will be important. Together with my teammates, of course.”
