Matevž Dajčar is Olimpija’s new goalkeeper!
He joined the Dragons today and signed a three-year contract. He already completed his first training session today with coach Jorge Simao’s team. He returns to Slovenia from Italian club Atalanta, having moved there from Domžale’s youth academy. He also gained important senior experience playing for Gorica. For Olimpija, he will wear jersey number 52.
Upon his arrival at the club, the 23-year-old goalkeeper said: “It’s a great honor to sign for a club as big as Olimpija, where the ambitions are extremely high. I want us to qualify for Europe, and I’m also aware that we are aiming for the double crown in domestic competitions. I’m from the Ljubljana area, so I followed Olimpija closely last season and was very happy with the results, which we will try to at least replicate this year.”
Welcome to the Dragons, Matevž!
