  • Federico Bessone extends commitment with the Dragons

Head coach Federico Bessone today signed a new contract with NK Olimpija Ljubljana and will continue to lead the Dragons in the upcoming period. He has been working in the capital since last September, when he began his tenure on the bench of the current national champions with victories against Domžale and Mura. Mura will also be the opponent of the green-and-whites this Saturday.

“I am very happy to remain a part of Olimpija. I believe in the team, in the club, and in our fans. Together, we want to build a successful long-term story. I arrived during a challenging period, completed winter preparations with the team, and started the spring excellently. We experienced a dip, which we will have to rectify in the final quarter of the championship. This new collaboration certainly represents the trust of the management, which I want to justify with successful results – first domestically, and then on the European stage,” said the Dragons’ head strategist upon signing the new agreement.

NK Olimpija Ljubljana President Adam Delius: “As we already announced, we successfully extended our cooperation with our head coach Fede Bessone today. He enjoys our complete trust, both professionally and personally. Our collaboration is based on mutual respect. Fede is an important part of the team and the club’s future, so we look forward to continuing our journey together. The new agreement is concluded for the 2026/27 season with an option to extend until the end of the 2027/28 season.”
