NK Olimpija Ljubljana announces that Jorge Simao no longer coaches NK Olimpija Ljubljana’s first team with immediate effect until further notice. This decision was made in light of the club’s short-term and long-term sporting development, goals and achievements. We expressly state that this is not a termination of the existing contractual relationship, but rather a temporary suspension of his active duties. The contract between Mr. Simao and the club remains in effect unless otherwise agreed.
We thank Simao and his coaching staff for their efforts and professionalism.
The first team will be temporarily led by the coaching duo from the Dragons’ youth squad, head coach Ivan Senzen and his assistant Antonio Delamea Mlinar. Senzen is a recognized expert who, before joining Olimpija’s youth academy, worked in the United Arab Emirates and for a decade at Dinamo Zagreb, where he successfully led the youth team in the UEFA Youth Champions League.
