First summer signing: Left-back returns to Dragon’s Nest

NK Olimpija Ljubljana is pleased to announce the signing of Jošto Urbančič. The 24-year-old is moving to Ljubljana from Norwegian first division club FK Viking in exchange for compensation. The left-back has signed a contract with the Green and Whites until the summer of 2028, and will wear the number 3 on his back.

Urbančič is returning to an environment that is no stranger to him. In the past, he has already worn the NK Olimpija jersey from the U11 to U17 selections. He continued his career with NK Domžale, and then drew attention to himself with mature performances in the ND Gorica jersey, which opened the door for him abroad.

After two seasons in Norway, he now returns to the capital, strengthened by international experience and a clear goal – to contribute to Olimpija’s high ambitions at home and in Europe.
