NK Olimpija Ljubljana announces that Justas Lasickas and David Sualehe are leaving the team as of today upon the expiration of their contracts.

Lasickas and Sualehe arrived in Stožice three years ago and won the double in their first season. They confirmed their first national championship title after defeating Maribor, and then won the cup against the same opponent. Sualehe scored in the decisive league derby, while Lasickas scored in the cup.

The two full-backs soon built on their initial success in the green and white by qualifying for the conference league, an achievement they further improved in the just-completed season, in which the Dragons initially spent the winter in Europe and then signed their eighth premier league star.

Lasickas has appeared in 110 games for the Dragons in three seasons, adding 5 goals and 6 assists. Sualehe has 116 appearances, 5 goals and 9 assists.

Justas Lasickas: “It was a great pleasure for me to be part of this team. I want you to know that I am not leaving unhappy. We have achieved great things together in these three years. I have given my heart to the club, and now it is time for me to move on to new challenges. Greetings to all the fans, to whom I tell them to continue to stand behind the team in good times and bad.”

David Sualehe: “Thank you Olimpija, thank you Ljubljana for these incredible three years. Together we have written an extraordinary and unforgettable story. Every farewell reminds us that time is precious and that moments are priceless. Thank you to everyone for everything we shared on and off the field. I will carry every experience in my heart forever and I will forever be one of you.”

The club thanks both of them for their fighting spirit on the pitch and their undoubted love for the green and white jersey, in which they both wrote extremely successful chapters of their careers.
