We are pleased to announce that Marko Brest has extended his contract with NK Olimpija Ljubljana until the summer of 2028!

Marko moved to Ljubljana from Aluminij in the summer of 2023 and has established himself as one of the key players this season. He has made 80 appearances for Olimpija so far. His excellent performances in the green and white jersey have earned him a call-up to the Slovenian U21 national team, where he will soon play an important role at the U21 Euro.

Upon signing the new contract, Brest said: “I am very happy that the club trusts me and that I will continue to develop at Olimpija. We have had a great European season, but now the focus is on confirming the national championship title. I want to help the team as much as possible in the last three matches and thank the fans for their support throughout the season.”

Sports director Goran Boromisa adds: “Marko Brest is one of the best young Slovenian footballers and an important member of Olimpija. We are very pleased that he has extended his contract with us. I would also like to take this opportunity to wish him the best of luck at the upcoming European Championship!”
