  • Marko Ristić returns to full training

Marko Ristić suffered a serious knee injury during the March international break, which sidelined him from football pitches for ten long months. After hard work and individual training, the central defender of the young Slovenian national team finally started partial training with the team in December, and at the beginning of the winter preparations, he is back in full swing. In yesterday’s friendly match against Badalona, he also collected valuable first minutes on the field after a long-term injury.

Ristić said after the match: “After ten months of very demanding training, I finally experienced a return to the field and the feelings were fantastic. Every day I watched my teammates on the field, but I was on the sidelines. I couldn’t wait to return to the full training process. I sincerely hope that I will continue in this rhythm in the future.”

He added about the preparations: “The last few days have been a bit more demanding due to the rain in Spain, but we finally got to play a preparatory match. With some additional work, we will definitely enter the spring part even better. The double training rhythm at this time of the season brings more fatigue, which is completely normal. We are now ten days away from the start of the second part of the championship, which we want to make the most of.”
