In anticipation of the eternal derby, we are pleased to announce that 17-year-old Mateo Aćimović has extended his loyalty to the Dragons until the summer of 2028.

Mateo, who grew up in the youth academy of NK Olimpija Ljubljana, signed his first professional contract in the green and white jersey. He made his debut for the senior team at the age of 16, becoming one of the youngest debutants in the club’s history. In April 2025, he scored his first goal for Olimpija in a match against Beltinci.

Upon signing the new contract, Mateo said: “The feelings are incredible. As a child of Olimpija, it means a lot to me that the club trusts me. This season I managed to get to the members’ team and scored my first goal among the members. Today I extended my contract with the club, where I am extremely happy and satisfied. I believe that this is the right environment for my further development.”
