The Round 21 PrvaLiga Telemach match between Olimpija and Celje ended with a dominant 3–1 win for the Dragons. In the first half, Antonio Marin and Diga found the net for the visitors, and in the second Dino Kojić sealed the result. Celje managed to pull one back from the penalty spot, but were still far from troubling a composed Olimpija. After the match, double assist-provider Dimitar Mitrovski and head coach Federico Bessone—who has now proved a puzzle Celje can’t solve for the third time—shared their thoughts with the TV cameras.
Mitrovski revealed what the win means for Olimpija: “We’re very happy with the win because it gives us an extra lift. Three straight wins were necessary for us to bounce back after the first half of the season. Today the key was excellent preparation, discipline in the defensive phase, and the fact that we took almost every big chance we had.”
Bessone added his perspective: “What matters even more is that I can be proud of my team, because this was not an easy match. We’ve played our third game in the last week and I’m very proud. We’ve won all three in a row and that means a lot to me, because it’s the first time it’s happened since I arrived. Today I’m very happy and proud of my boys.”
He also praised his players’ performance against Celje: “We prepared well for Celje, the players responded excellently to the instructions and analysis, everyone did their job at a high level and knew exactly what they needed to do. If we take away that interesting Celje penalty, we dominated the whole match this time.”
