The first international break of the 2025/26 season is approaching, which means many Dragons will swap their club colors for those of their national teams.
From the first team, Mariano Ahouangbo has received a call-up for Benin’s senior national team and will compete in World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe and Lesotho. Dino Kojić and, for the first time, Mateo Aćimović will represent Slovenia’s U-21 team in Euro U-21 qualifiers. They will be playing away in Norway. Due to injury concerns, Estonian striker Alex Tamm and Macedonian midfielder Dimitar Mitrovski have remained in Ljubljana.
Young Dragons will also represent their countries. Youth team captain Miljan Pantić has been called up to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s U-19 team. He will face peers from North Macedonia in two friendly matches. Slovenia’s cadet team will include Luka Rus, Luka Karapetrović, and Tristan Kotar. The largest number of Olimpija players can be found in the U-15 squad, which will play two friendly matches against Luxembourg. Slovenia will be represented by Lan Ambrož, Mark Burger, Ishak Gazibara, Nik Podrenk, Aron Vučić, and Lai Završnik.
We wish them all the best of luck!
