Brazilian forward Pedro Lucas is departing from NK Olimpija Ljubljana after a mutual agreement to terminate his contract. He arrived in Ljubljana at the start of the 2023/24 season and made 81 appearances in the green-and-white jersey, scoring 18 goals and providing 10 assists.
With the Dragons, he celebrated last year’s national title and two qualifications for the Conference League. During this period, he also underwent a demanding knee rehabilitation in the capital: “My sincere thanks to the club, the president, and everyone working within the club for the trust shown over these three years. Thanks to all my teammates, with whom we achieved great success and made history. The biggest thanks go to the fans and the Green Dragons, as they were always there for the club and me, always supporting me, even when it was most difficult.”
“I always gave my all for the club, and from the very beginning, I was very happy here. Now it’s time to say goodbye, and it’s certainly not easy for me, as I grew very fond of both the club and the city, but I believe my time has come. I wish the team and the club all the best for the future, and Olimpija will always remain a fond memory for me.”
Pedro, thank you for everything and good luck on your new path!
