In the summer of 2025, defender Jan Gorenc rejoined Olimpija after the 2019/20 season, signing a contract until the summer of 2028. He returned to Ljubljana with rich experience from domestic and foreign pitches.

After leaving Olimpija, he played for Mura for two and a half seasons, with whom he won the national championship title in 2021 and appeared in the Conference League group stage. Later he played in Belgium for KAS Eupen, where in the last season as a defender he scored four goals in 22 matches.
