If Mother Nature had given him just one more centimeter, he would be two meters tall and a welcome addition to basketball. But Matevž Vidovšek, born in 1999, decided to play football at an early age, where he plays goalkeeper.

He started his career in Dravograd, but decided to go abroad at a young age. He sought his fortune in Italy, where he signed with Atalanta in 2016. In Italy, he also played on loan for Pescara and Reggina. In 2019, he moved to Cyprus, where he signed for Agia Napa. He joined Olimpija in January 2021.
