  • “Positive Momentum ahead of Wednesday’s European Match”

The champions started the new league season with a victory against Mura in front of their fans. The Dragons were the dominant team throughout the match, but in the first half they failed to break through Murska Sobota’s defense. This was achieved with a beautiful goal in the 73rd minute by Antonio Marin, who had entered the game just five minutes earlier. He told the media after the match: “I think the match was difficult, mainly because we recently returned from Kazakhstan, where we suffered a painful defeat. In the end, we can say that we deserved the three points.”

“Before entering the game, the coach told me that we need to be aggressive, take every ball and of course score a goal. I’m happy that I managed to do it and that I helped the team to victory.”

“We have a new coach and many new players, so in these opening matches we’re not yet optimal. We have to go match by match. This victory is very important for us to lift our heads after the defeat and to await Wednesday’s European match with positive momentum in front of our fans.”

The Dragons will host Andorran champions Inter Club d’Escaldes at Stožice on Wednesday. The match will start at 8:00 PM, and you can secure your tickets at shop.nkolimpija.si.
