Press Release

Changes at NK Olimpija Ljubljana

I would like to inform all Green-and-White fans that the planned contract extension with our sporting director, Goran Boromisa, has not taken place, despite previous announcements.

Mr. Boromisa was offered the best contract ever received by a sporting director at NK Olimpija Ljubljana. The offer was also based on recognition of the results achieved in recent years. Nevertheless, to my surprise, Mr. Boromisa did not accept this offer.

In our personal conversation, he shared his great desire to devote more time to his family in the future. For these reasons, he first asked for time to reflect, and shortly thereafter for a release from his duties, while expressing his gratitude for the trust shown and the professional cooperation over the years.

Our journey together at NK Olimpija Ljubljana has been marked by ups and downs, victories and defeats, and both good and bad decisions. It was a period of many challenges that required a constant search for solutions. During this time, a friendship also developed, but sometimes a moment comes when you must allow a friend to leave, when you realize that goals and opportunities no longer align with the vision of success.

Due to these circumstances, ongoing personnel matters will now fall under the jurisdiction of the new sporting director.

Dear Goran, I wish you all the best on your future path in life. The club’s doors will always remain open to you.

Adam Delius
President of NK Olimpija Ljubljana
