  • Slovenia U21 completes preparations
The Slovenian national under-21 team has also completed its obligations. Four Dragons players were called up a few weeks ago, but only three individuals are returning to club training starting tomorrow.
Marcel Ratnik, Dino Kojić and Marko Brest played warm-up matches for the upcoming EURO against Ukraine and Finland in Turkey. The first ended with a 1:1 draw, and the second with a narrow 1:0 defeat. The Dragons’ assistant Ramiro Munoz Calvo, who will also be working on the young Finnish team’s coaching staff in the new year, was delighted with the victory.
As already mentioned, the opening campaign for the national team in 2025 was prematurely ended by the unfortunate Marko Ristić, who suffered a serious knee injury during the opening test. The young Olimpija defender faces surgery and a long recovery.
