Olimpija will be playing away at Ljudski Vrt on Sunday! The match of the 24th round of the Telemach First League will start at 3 pm, and looking at the first league standings, the Dragons are entering the match with a six-point advantage.

Victor Sanchez before the third eternal derby of the season: “After Domžale, we did a thorough analysis of the match, I talked to the players. I can say that both teams played the match exactly as they should have. Domžale were excellent in defense, excellent in transitions and on breakaways. We knew that they score half of their goals from breakaways, which are always a game in themselves. If you don’t lose a breakaway match, you have a good chance of winning at least a point. This time we paid the price for bad breakaways, as we conceded two goals from free kicks and one from a free kick.”

“I’m glad that we have such a match ahead of us. We always prepare so that the opponent will be optimal. They have a lot of quality. The emotional part of the match will also be important in this case. We are waiting for a demanding atmosphere, but we like to play like that. I hope that there will not be long interruptions to the match, which does happen, but I just want a safe environment for the game. This is probably a key match for the opponent, they want to reduce the gap, and we can increase the advantage.”

“There’s still a long way to go in the championship, so I honestly don’t count how many are left. We’re playing against the second-placed team in the league this round and the goal is to increase the points difference. There’s still a lot to play for and we all have to stay focused.”
