“The boys were on point”

The Dragons returned to the competitive scene with a bang! Victor Sanchez’s team scored five goals in the opening match of the spring season. Tamm, Jorge Silva, Raul, Blanco and Agba were among the scorers.

Victor Sanchez said after the match with Primorje: “The match with Primorje was far from easy. I said some time ago that this is a great team with a clear idea. They always stick to the plan regardless of the opponent, so we knew that we were in for a tough challenge, and the opponent was dangerous even after both suspensions, which deserves praise. This team can be an example for us, despite the defeat, of how to follow the idea, so once again, praise to the players and coach for their perseverance.”

“We started well. We hit the crossbar right at the start, which means the boys were at their best. We talked about this in preparation, and later we managed to take advantage of the numerical advantage. It’s good that we kept the net intact and it’s certainly nice to get back into the competitive rhythm with a big win.”

“Our biggest competitor in the fight for the top is ourselves. When you are leading the rankings, complacency is your biggest enemy. We have known this from the very beginning and we have this message in the dressing room. We must not stop and be satisfied with the current position. That is why we must only think about ourselves. Others also think about us. If we take good care of ourselves, we will consequently not have to worry about our opponents.”
