  • “”the Fans Will Give Us a Tailwind””

Tomorrow, Olimpija has a season-defining match in the Conference League play-off, with FC Noah coming to Stožice at 20:00. Before the meeting with the Armenians, Ahmet Muhamedbegović and Erwin van de Looi answered questions from journalists.

The green-white defender first emphasized the importance of the match: “”The team is aware of how important and special tomorrow’s match is for the club and the fans. I think we have prepared well. We also realize that an easy duel is not ahead of us, as all teams at this stage of the competition are of high quality. We’re playing at home, so we must give our all. Not 100%, but 105%. With the fans giving us a tailwind, I think we can succeed.””

The head coach of the Dragons also spoke about FC Noah: “”We’ve gotten to know the opponent well. They are a quality team that has performed well in Europe this year. Although they were eliminated against the Gibraltar team Red Imps, they were the better opponent but simply couldn’t score a goal. On the other hand, we also have a lot of quality, so I expect an even match.””

The Dutchman continued: “”We need to find energy within ourselves, each player individually. In the last match, we felt fatigue in the final minutes, but this time we’ve had a bit more time to rest. The fact that this is a big match for the club and Slovenian football will also give us extra strength, I’m sure of that.””

We warn all fans that throwing cups onto the field is strictly prohibited! The entire stadium is under video surveillance, and the police will severely punish offenders.
