The Dragons will play their final friendly before the start of the new league season tomorrow, Saturday, July 11. Mišo Brečko’s side will face Ukrainian runners-up LNZ Cherkasy.

This will also bring the summer pre-season period to a definitive close, which the head coach of the green-and-whites assesses as successful: “We’re happy with the four weeks of preparation, mainly because of the work done and the approach of the whole team. Unfortunately, during this period we lost Xande, who would certainly have been an important player for us. The boys showed a great deal of hard work and created a positive atmosphere, so everyone on the coaching staff is extremely happy that this is the case.”

“In the final match of the preparations, I expect the team to already show a certain level of cohesion. I got the feeling the boys have connected well with each other and got to know one another. Many things in our game already look very good. Fatigue is present, but we’re all positive and expecting a good performance from our side,” Brečko said ahead of tomorrow’s dress rehearsal against the Ukrainian runners-up.
