A successful youth school weekend is behind us! The youth, cadets and senior boys of NK Olimpija recorded a perfect result on Saturday. The U15 and U17 teams visited Ilirija, while the youths hosted Ilirija in Jama.

The youth team continues to fight for the championship title. Under the leadership of Boštjan Miklič, the Young Dragons took the lead in the match against Ilirija in the 22nd minute, when Jaša Jelen scored from the spot. In the second half, the green and whites scored twice more. In the 72nd minute, Aldin Jakupović was accurate, and in the 83rd minute, Senad Porić, who entered the game from the bench in the 70th minute, scored from the spot. Olimpija thus remains in first place in the EON Next Gen League, and will play a guest match in Velenje, near Rudarju, on Friday at 5 pm.
Olimpija’s starting eleven for Saturday’s match consisted of Mauricio, Pirečnik, Motika, Vidmar, Dvoršak, Matanovič, Jelen, Kovačević, Kojić, Imeraj, Jakupović.
Porić (70′), Petrov (70′), Cedilnik (85′), Balon (85′) and Lakić (88′) also entered the game. Porić (78′) and Lakić (92′) received yellow cards for the Dragons.
U17 Team
The U17 team won again on Saturday. After the end of the first half, the home team led 1-0. Immediately after the start of the second half (47′), Mateo Aćimović equalized for the green and whites. In the 49th minute, Svit Hočevar scored a goal, who was also successful three minutes later and set the final score. P

Kostić (76′), Liao Novak (76′), Dobrnjič (81′), Miklavčič (89′), Šolar (93′) also came off the bench. Lučić (43′), Hočevar (53′) and Botonjić (87′) received yellow cards.
The Young Dragons will play away at Aluminij on Thursday at 2 p.m. Olimpija jumped to 3rd place with the win, one point separating them from the second-placed team and four from the current leader.
Older boys
The U15 team also successfully defeated their peers from Illyria. The score remained unchanged in the first half. In the second half, Sanli Alić first scored a goal for himself (67′), and then Egon Ljubičić (80′) beat the opponent’s defense, who also set the final score and gave Olimpija the victory.
Coach Admir Krupić included Jeran, Velić, Rajbar, Bokavšek, Mešić, Štreklj, Mešanović, Delak, Kovše, Gazibara and Hočevar in the starting lineup.
Petrov (46′), Ljubičić (47′), Mišvelj (57′), Zver (70′) and Porić (82′) also entered the game. Štrukelj (18′), Mešanović (32′) and Ljubičić (52′) were shown yellow cards.
The U15 team will play their next match against Aluminij on Thursday at 12 noon. The match will take place in Kidričevo.
