Kelvin Ofori is a new force in Olimpija’s attack!
The Ghanaian footballer, who is best in the right wing, will join the Dragons on loan from Slovan Bratislava until the end of the current season. Olimpija has also secured the option to buy.
The fast-footed Ofori began his football career at the renowned Ghanaian academy Right to Dream. His talent was quickly recognized in Europe, leading to a move to Germany. There, he continued his development with Fortuna Düsseldorf and Paderborn. He has left his biggest mark so far in Slovakia, where he first defended the colors of Spartak Trnava, and then the most successful Slovak club, Slovan, from where he is moving to Ljubljana.
Upon arriving in Stožice, Kelvin Ofori said: “I am very happy to have signed for Olimpija. It is a big club that has warmly welcomed me. This season, I want to help the team with as many goals and assists as possible, so that we can look forward to winning the cup and qualifying for Europe at the end of the season. As a player, I like one-on-one situations, I am skilled at dribbling and I finish actions dangerously in the attacking third. I hope that the fans will soon support us in as large numbers as possible and enjoy attacking football.”
Sports director Goran Boromisa welcomed him with the words: “Kelvin is the profile of player we were looking for in this transfer window. We needed speed and penetration on the wings, and he is also a player who is comfortable in the number ten position. I am glad that he will be able to complete the entire preparation with the team in Spain. Now we are already looking for the next reinforcements in the club, so that we will be as successful as possible in the second part of the season.”
Kelvin, welcome among the Dragons!
