  • Young talent signs first professional contract

We are pleased to announce that young talents Bor Ceferin and Patrik Jeran have signed their first long-term professional contracts with NK Olimpija Ljubljana. Ceferin, born in 2008, is already successfully playing for the Dragons youth team and the Slovenian U-17 national team. Jeran, born in 2010, is an excellent goalkeeper for the cadet team and the Slovenian U-15 national team.

The youth academy’s technical director Ivica Vranješ accompanied the signing of Ceferin’s contract with the following words: “We quickly recognized the boy’s talent and brought him to Olimpija three months ago. In this short period, he showed exceptional quality and a professional attitude, thereby earning a contract. Meanwhile, his abilities have also been recognized at the national team level, which is further proof that this young footballer has exceptional potential.”

Vranješ is happy to welcome the signing of Jeran: “He is a goalkeeper with exceptional potential, who plays with a selection two years older and is already showing exceptional quality in all aspects of goalkeeping. We are particularly proud of Patrik, as he came through all the selections of our youth school. If he continues like this, he has all the predispositions to one day play in goal for the member team.”

“Our football school is growing day by day and follows the rapid development of the first team. We expect a few more structural changes in the summer that will help develop the younger teams. Today’s signing of contracts with two exceptional talents is no exception, but will become a practice at Olimpija in the future.”
