Zeljković before the European game

Zoran Zeljković did media duties before the start of the official training in Torshavn, ahead of the European game against Klaksvik. The Dragons’ coach talked about travelling, adapting to the conditions and injuries.

About the 3000-kilometre journey: “We were well organised and the journey went smoothly. We have taken all the details into account, so all we can think about is the match. We are experienced enough to adapt to the conditions. Here we have lower temperatures, rain and wind. Also the playing surface is artificial. The preparation is going according to plan and I believe in the boys.”

About Klaksvik: “They are certainly a quality opponent, but I will never be satisfied if we only win a point against such an opponent. No team has won in the Faroe Islands this season, not even those with bigger budgets and on paper better than us. But I believe that if we follow our plan, then we will win. I am sure that Olimpija is capable of beating even much bigger teams. I sincerely hope that Timi Max Elšnik, Agustin Doffo and Ivan Posavec will be able to help us. I always say, we’ll do a last-minute count and see who is fit to play.”

On supporting the Green and Whites in the Faroe Islands: “We will have around 50 fans supporting us on a very distant away trip. Every extra energy counts. I’m glad that our fans are with us and that the club helped them to come in as big numbers as possible. This cooperation is very important. The better we play, the more fans we will have. We are well aware of that.”
