Marvin Çuni is the Dragons’ third newcomer in the summer transfer window! The German with Albanian roots will join the green-and-whites for the upcoming season on loan from Rubin Kazan, with an option to extend for another year.
The 24-year-old Çuni began his football career in his hometown of Freising, and at the age of 11, he moved to the renowned Bayern Munich academy, where he spent a total of eight years. In Germany, he then gained experience in senior football with SG Sonnenhof Großaspach, SC Paderborn, and FC Saarbrücken. This was followed by a move to Italy, where Çuni initially played for Frosinone. From there, he was acquired by Russian top-flight club Rubin Kazan, and in the interim, he also played on loan for Sampdoria and most recently Bari. He made 33 appearances in Serie B, and previously played 22 times in the elite Serie A. His next destination is now NK Olimpija Ljubljana, where he will wear the number 17 jersey.

After successfully completing his medical examination and signing the contract, the Dragons’ new strategist Mišo Brečko will count on Marvin for the first time at Friday’s morning training session.
