Olimpija hosted Celje in the 36th round of Prva Liga Telemach. After winning the dual laurels, the Dragons treated this match as a matter of protocol. The trophy ceremony followed immediately right after the game, followed by festivities in Congress Square. Olimpija was able to control the ball during the game but it ended in a loss.

Aljoša Matko scored for the visiting team in the fifth minute after an assist by Denis Popović. Aldair tried a volley in 18′, but Matjaž Rozman, the visiting team goalkeeper, managed to keep their net intact. Olimpija took over the initiative and was dominant in the following minutes, but they didn’t manage to score. The match was briefly interrupted in 37′ when the Green Dragons were celebrating the championship. The result did not change before halftime.

Matko scored again at the beginning of the second half after an assist by Charles Ikwuemesi. Rui Pedro missed the goal on the other side, and Aldair missed in 63′. In 86′ Đorđe Crnomarković tried to score a headshot, but he aimed too high. The last game of the championship season ended with a score of 0-2. Olimpija had 73 points in first place, Celje had 67 points in second place, and Maribor had 62 points in third place.
